I'm tagging along on with Moorea Seal
as she gives a prompt to each week this year on making a list. Yeah, a
list. Some of them are deep, some light hearted, some silly. Check out the lists and join in!

Shenanigans {S'more}
Last year I made it a goal to do Two for Twosday and Show and Share Wednesday. Both of them were a blast. This year, I'm going to sort of combine the two into 'Shenanigans'. Crafts, recipes, something really important that I want to share. You just never know what I'm going to post on it.
So to blast this off, one of the Shenanigans that has been going on this Christmas break is (drum-roll) S'more! For Christmas Uncle Wayne got the family a S'more maker! Yeah we are extremely excited about it.
It also brings me to my next Shenanigan thought... not everyone knows about the wonderful world of S'more. I know to us devout S'more makers out there this really makes our hearts sad.
Here is a real quick rundown of a S'more.
Now I don't mean to brag but I may have a thing or two on the S'more making. My family has grown up making S'more on camping trips, bon-fires... really any fire that has been made we make S'more. SO what I am about to share with you might blow your mind, be prepared.
Typically these are the ingredents that you need:
Notice the last ingredient... I was trying to be non brand spesific but I always use Hershey's chocolate. Two things have really upped the preverbial anty in the past few years.
ONE- Use cinnamon graham crackers. I go back and forth on just normal graham crackers and cinnomon crackers.
TWO- Reese's peanut butter cups. TRY IT. IT WILL BLOW YOUR MIND. Swap out the Hershey's for a Reese's, oh man. It's a whole new level of S'more.
So Go. Go make a S'more with your family! Let me know what chocolate was your favorite OR let me know how you make yours!
Keep calm and S'more on!

{2013}
2013 was an amazing year. I took part in Ten on ten, capturing ten photos of everyday life on the tenth of every month. Photo a day, where I took a photo every day from a prompt. Five Minute Fridays, where I blogged with a one word prompt. This is my 2013 collection. I am proud of it.

Fight
I'm joining in on Lisa-Jo baker's 'Five Minute Friday'.
The rules are pretty simple. One word. Five minutes of writing. No editing.
Fight.
Why. Why do we fight? Is it out of anger? Or is it to passionately defend something or someone? I think of my past year cause that's what everyone is doing right now. Trying to see what they should have done, could have done. Maybe so that they can make this year different? Or maybe just to see the beauty in the year that they had. Or maybe it's to see the fight that they had to put into their year. Fight not in a bad way but in a fight to push through to the end.
This past year. I fought in a good way. I fought to push through so many obstacles that were thrown my way. I mean that in the literal since too (remember that one time I was all like, yeah lets go do a 5K Obstacle course... it'll be fun). I mean that in the all secretive way too (remember my dear friend when I called you and just needed an ear to hear).
This year. I want to fight again. I will battle the laundry room. I will slash my way through dishes. I will push my marriage to the brink of spectacular-ness. I will not be pulled into the lures of my children's fighting. I will fight through every run and work out. I will fight to the very end for my family. I will push through every single day to glow in whatever it is I strive to do.
I will fight through the obstacles, that's my kind of fighting, because everything, everyone is worth fighting for. That's the kind of year I want.
I will fight to be able to glow this year.

Enjoying their vacation!
How I'm feeling:
I think the chilliness is seeping into my bones.
What I'm listening to:

Words to describe this month:
Family. Love.
Noteworthy:
So very proud of Samual and Louis in their dedication to their pack. You go boys!
What reading/learning did I do this month?
Stay Close
A History of the World in 6 Glasses
Me Before You
A Sweethaven Christmas
Orphan Train
The Bone Season
Wicked: The life and times of the Wicked Witch of the West
What entertainment did I watch/listen to this month?
Josh and I went on a date! I know it's been a while. We went to see 'Catching Fire', his pick.
What fun things did I do with my family and/or friends?
Uncle Alan, the boys and I went to visit Santa! Here's the wild part of the story. He knew the boys names! No I didn't sign in, I didn't tell them... There is a Santa!
What gifts did I give and/or receive?
December we were blessed to be able to give gifts to our loved ones.
What special or unusual purchases did I make?
I bought Josh slacks. I know that doesn't sound unusual... but when he tried them on... I think the sizing on the pants were a WAY incorrect. That and the new style out there is skinny pants... not every one wants that.
What illnesses or health concerns did I have?
We have fared pretty well this month staying out of the doctor's office.
What were my accomplishments this month?
I participated in two 5Ks this month. They bother were a blast, however I did learn that if there is any hint of there being ice on the road, I'm not doing the race.
What were my downers this month?
Falling on ice in a run. Ouch.
What new things did I try?
Took Wayne to his FIRST NFL game! Go Chiefs!!!
How did I do on my goals for the month?
I let go of my goals this month and lived with my family. I mean lived it up. We played, made crafts. I didn't blog, I spent time with them.
