McDonalds

McDonald's has saved the day... SOO many times. Last week it saved us from a very late dinner. It saved our sanity as a bribe at a basketball game. Today it saved us a three hour wait from seeing Santa... Because SANTA was at McDonalds!

The tree

It official we went tree shopping. The running around looking for just the right one. The finding the right one but what about this one?! Ahh, but at last we found our Christmas tree!!!

Snow

The first day of snow!!! I wish we all had the joy that children have on the first day of snow. No worries about the roads being slick or how much ice you have to scrape off the windshield or finding two matching gloves or how very cold it is outside. They are so over joyed to see that white scenery. The chance of not having school! Making snowmen or snow angels! Snowball fights and igloos. To see rosy checks and cold toes. The need for hot cocoa to warm up!

'Tis the season!!! Have the joy of first day snow from a child's view.

Sometimes there aren't the right words to describe what a picture can. Recently Samual and Louis celebrated their birthdays. Their dear Papa Mel wanted to make it extra special by taking them each out to lunch. Then they went to the store to pick out a toy and some clothes :)

The shopping lead into quit the journey. Thank you Target for not kicking us out.

We stopped in the toy section where this picture really describes it all.

Bucket List

It's one of those things that I've never really thought about doing... until recently. Life gets going and then you look back and... even though you know you were busy, just don't feel like you've accomplished anything. At least that's what has happened to me.
My goal (I need to add here that I'm not really a goal setter so this is a big deal for me) is to make a list, of simple things. Nothing too crazy, just something to start out with. A list that can get me going.

Skool

The boyz have such a busy schedule these days. The past few days they had crazy hat day for spirit week. Making the school day that much more exciting!
Of course we have the normal questions at the end of the day.... How was your day, what did you do, what did you have for lunch, etc.
One evening going to pick the boyz up from their day Louis got in the car and I asked him what he did at school that day.
Louis said so boldly and soooo VERY proudly, "Mom, I learned the number goat".
Josh and I just looked at each other, not really sure how to reply.
Louis continued "You know...gggggg... That sound. Goat."
We smiled.
He learned about the letter 'G' and was so excited about had left out the letter and went to the word.
We are so proud of our kiddos and their excitement about learning. What a very powerful reward for us parents.
