Two for Twosday: two thoughts/ updates/ photos/ something that I don't want to forget or am flat out oober excited about.
1. Family shopping day! Holy moley! We hit our local stores up this weekend for some school shopping and family time. Dad and Sam had a competition to see who could make the other the dizziest on the carousel tee-cup. Shhh... Sam won, Dad was not looking too good after that ride.
2. Well it's that time of the year... school is starting back up! The boys
got to meet their teachers, see their classrooms and do a little
exploring.

Angels & Demons
Angels & Demons
By: Dan Brown
FIVE out of FIVE stars
my thoughts:
I picked up this book because I really really really want to read Brown's 'Inferno'. Accourding to the Robert Langdon series this is the first book. When you look at the publishing dates it is the second book though. Right or wrong, this is the book that I started with... so there! IT WAS AMAZING!!!
The run down of this book pretty much sums the book up. There is so much more though! Terrific read!!! Cannot wait to read the next book in this series.
the run down:
When world-renowned Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon is summoned to a Swiss research facility to analyze a mysterious symbol—seared into the chest of a murdered physicist—he discovers evidence of the unimaginable: the resurgence of an ancient secret brotherhood known as the Illuminati...the most powerful underground organization ever to walk the earth. The Illuminati has now surfaced to carry out the final phase of its legendary vendetta against its most hated enemy—the Catholic Church.
Langdon’s worst fears are confirmed on the eve of the ’s holy conclave, when a messenger of the Illuminati announces they have hidden an unstoppable time bomb at the very heart of Vatican City. With the countdown under way, Langdon jets to Rome to join forces with Vittoria Vetra, a beautiful and mysterious Italian scientist, to assist the Vatican in a desperate bid for survival.
Embarking on a frantic hunt through sealed crypts, dangerous catacombs, deserted cathedrals, and even the most secretive vault on earth, Langdon and Vetra follow a 400-year-old trail of ancient symbols that snakes across Rome toward the long-forgotten Illuminati lair...a clandestine location that contains the only hope for Vatican salvation.

Lonely
I'm joining in on Lisa-Jo Baker's Five Minute Friday. The rules are pretty simple. One word. Five minutes of writing. No editing.
Lonely
I get lonely but I am never alone. Sometimes for me this is a battle to remember. I focus on wanting to be with family and friends that are on the other side of the country. I focus on that so much that I put blinders up to what is around me. I start to envy daughters just hanging out with their mommas. I get all bummed out that my best-est friends are hanging out at our fav local. Yes, my family and friends live far away. I hope they all know to how very much they are prayed for, loved, thought of and missed. In that moment of prayer though, I realize how much I am never alone. My family, my husband's family is near, my friends here that have become family. Most of all, my Lord never leaves me or you or my family, my friends here or there.
I get lonely but I am never alone. This is also just... laughably true to me because I'm a wife and a momma. I can't even go to the bathroom by myself. I'll remember way back when prior marriage, prior children going to the public restroom. I somehow always get that one stall that the door never really latches shut. Naturally I would get a visitor. Then I would rush to cover up and be mildly shocked and embarrassed. Now, I just assume it's one of my children needing to tell my a story that absolutely cannot wait. The mild shock and embarrassment flushed away. Now the visitor is baffled cause I'm not shutting the door, just looking at them to entertain me with a story.
I get lonely but I am never alone. I've been blessed to not be alone. I have a superhero husband. We have three superhero boys in training and two snugly dogs. I'm so blessed that I don't even have to go the bathroom by myself. This are just little reminders of how close my Lord wants to be with me, hhopefully not in the bathroom. Honest though, I still get lonely. That is a necessary feeling to have, to realize how very not alone I am.

1. Our baby boy turned FOUR! Chexk out Rian's 20 Questions!!!
2. Triathlon training has come to a pause. I had a slight accident falling down the stairs. Yeah, typing is a little tricky.
