Glue

I'm joining in on Lisa-Jo baker's 'Five Minute Friday'.
The rules are pretty simple. One word. Five minutes of writing. No editing.

I'll just be honest here. The first thing I thought of with the word 'glue' is good ol' Elmer's white glue.

It took me back for a while. The first time in Kindergarten when my teacher told me a little dot will go a long way. Then all the sudden I was looking at a puddle of white glue on my paper.

The next flash was a few years later when we learned that you could take glue and put it in your hand spread it all around and let it dry and get a replica of what the inside of your hand looks like.

Flash a few more years and I'm starting to get the whole a dot of glue thing.

Then a few more years go by and my children at a young age are 'helping' Mom glue bills together. Cause what else do you do with your paper bill once you have it paid.

There was always that one kid that took it to the next step and tried tasting it... I never made it that far and the boys haven't either... that's not to say they won't. We still have a few years of tempting fate yet.

It's amazing all the different parts of life that this little ol' bottle of glue has been through with me. It's stuck with me.

And then of course there's this song..;.

Stuck like glue... you and me baby... we're stuck like glue.

Also this reminds me... The getting a replica of your hand thing DOES NOT work on your hair, you've been warned.
